If you’re like me, there aren’t many things better than
browsing the shelves of your local library, just waiting for your new favorite
read or watch to jump out and grab you. We as library staff probably
understand better than most the feeling of FOMO (fear of missing out) by not
being able to go on this weekly, biweekly, or monthly visit to your happy
place. So while we can’t fully replace the experience of discovering new
stories by reading back covers and inside flaps, we’re trying to introduce
you to our new--as well as reintroduce you to our old--titles in fresh and
physically distant ways.
In addition to posting pictures of new books on Facebook and Instagram and
helping connect you to your next books with our “Request Your Next 5 Books”
feature on the library website; we thought maybe a friendly face might help
lead you to your next selection.
Every 1st and 3rd Thursday, checkout our Facebook page for a new video review on a book or movie in our library collection by yours truly. Go give one a watch and don’t be afraid to let me know in the comments if you agree (or disagree) with my review and if it encouraged (or discouraged) you from checking it out! Or recommend a title or genre for me to read or watch!
